While schools may close, Clarendon Hills Music Academy typically stays open for lessons. However, we know Chicagoland’s extreme weather can make traveling difficult, so we provide flexible options to prioritize your safety and convenience.
OPTION # 1: BRAVE THE ELEMENTS AND ATTEND YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED LESSON.
In extreme weather, we remain OPEN to hold lessons as scheduled 95% of the time. If there are any changes, we’ll let you know in advance. If you feel safe traveling, we look forward to seeing you at the academy at your usual time!
OPTION # 2: CANCEL THE LESSON USING THE STUDENT HELP DESK AND SCHEDULE A MAKE-UP LESSON USING THE PORTAL AT SOME POINT IN THE FUTURE.
If you’d prefer not to venture out, you can cancel your lesson using our Student Help Desk and schedule a make-up lesson via the Parent Portal.
Note: The 24-hour notice requirement is waived for extreme weather cancellations.
Use this link to submit your cancellation and you will receive a confirmation email giving details on how to schedule a make-up in the Portal: CH Music Academy Student Help Desk
OPTION # 3: TAKE A VIRTUAL LESSON AT YOUR REGULAR TIME
Stay cozy and keep playing! Virtual lessons via Zoom are a great alternative. Contact your instructor directly via text or text us directly at 630-986-8742 to get details on the virtual lesson option.
